Milford Fire Apparatus Bursts Into Flames While At A Call
Milford firefighters were at an accident involving a truck that had lost thousands of gallons of sewage when their vehicle caught fire.
MILFORD, NH — Milford firefighters were on scene at Route 101 and Nashua Road for an accident involving a sewage truck that had been hit by a car, causing sewage to dump from the truck.
As firefighters were working on mitigating the hazards from the accident smoke began to come from the hood of a 2013 Milford utility vehicle.
Firefighters quickly started emptying the utility truck while one firefighter grabbed an extinguisher and the engine repositioned to provide water to extinguish the fire.

The fire shut down the road while the fire was extinguished. The sewage truck accident continues to block one lane of travel as fire and NH DES work to determine the clean up strategy.
