Milford High School Celebrates Two Scholars
Jordan King and David Sixon shine bright for Milford High School
Milford High School is proud to celebrate the accomplishments of two of their seniors: David Sixon and Jordan King.
David Sixon has been named a National Merit Finalist. The National Merit® Scholarship Program is an annual academic competition for recognition and college undergraduate scholarships which has a goal to identify and honor academically talented U.S. high school students. Being named a National Merit Finalist is a great honor for high achieving students and will place David in a competitive position to compete for college scholarships. David plans to study Chemical Engineering and is making a decision as to his next steps as he has been accepted into excellent universities.
David has been an active MHS Community member. He has played soccer and baseball for all four years at MHS. He has also been involved in many clubs and activities. He is the Consul of the Latin Club, a four year member of student government and is the secretary of the senior class. He has been involved in many communities and fun events such as pep rallies and penny wars. During his freshman and sophomore year, he was the ever enthusiastic "voice of the morning" for MHS's daily announcements.

Jordan King has been named a National Honor Society scholarship winner. Being a member of the National Honor Society is both an honor and a commitment, as the National Honor Society (NHS) elevates a school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Out of thousands of applicants, Jordan is one of 512 to receive a $3200 scholarship. Jordan plans to attend Franklin University in Switzerland where she will study International Political Science.
Jordan has been an active member in the MHS community where she has been part of the student council all four years and this year she serves as the student council executive committee as their president. She is the vice president of National Honor Society and has been an active member of Model UN. In the spring of 2020, Jordan and a graduated student, Kat Raiano, won first place in NH's National History Day competition for the website they created to honor and recognize the first woman sworn into New Hampshire's bar, Attorney Marilla Ricker.
