Milford To Hold Halloween Parade, Trick-Or-Treating Despite Rain
While some communities have postponed Halloween due to weather worries, Milford is set to hold its parade, trick-or-treating on Thursday.

MILFORD, NH – Milford is planning to weather the storm this Halloween with a holiday parade at The Oval Thursday afternoon and trick-or-treating still planned for Thursday night despite forecasts of possible heavy rain and wind. Milford police said Wednesday afternoon that plans are still to hold trick-or-treating from 6 to 8 p.m.
There will also be a small Halloween parade starting at Jacques School on Elm Street around The Oval. The parade starts at 1 p.m. and will last about 30 minutes. The Oval will be shut down to traffic during the short parade.
Nearby communities split this week when it came to Halloween weather worries. Nashua postponed its official city trick-or-treating to Saturday night. Merrimack initially said it was a go on Thursday, pending severe weather, but on Wednesday morning decided to also postpone to Saturday. Amherst and Bedford join Milford in keeping the holiday night trick-or-treat tradition going strong.
