Milford School Committee Race Heats Up As Member Bows Out

MILFORD, MA — The Milford School Committee will have at least one new face after the 2021 spring town election.

School Committee member Laura Ingemi is not seeking a second term, according to the Milford Town Clerk. She was first elected in 2018, coming in second in a seven-way open race for three seats.

There are three School Committee seats up for election in 2021, and so far four candidates have signed up to run: Meghan Hornberger and Christopher Wilson, incumbents who were last elected in 2018 along with Ingemi; RJ Sheedy, who ran for a School Committee seat in the 2019 town election; and newcomer Matthew Zacchilli.

Eleven boards and commissions, including Town Moderator, are up for election in the 2021 election. Here are the candidates who have either pulled papers, filed papers or decided not to run, according to the town clerk:
