You can get your hands on a brand new motorcycle, and help find a cure for children suffering from a deadly disease at the same time.

Souhegan Valley Motorsports in Milford is hosting a raffle for a new Kawasaki Vulcan 900 to benefit Joshua's Angels and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Tickets are $25 and only 500 total are being sold.

Joshua was born August 31, 2007 and 2 weeks later diagnosed with cystic fibrosis (CF). It is an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide). A defective gene and its protein product cause the body to produce unusually thick, sticky mucus that leads to life-threatening lung infections and prevents the body from breaking down food.

At only five, Joshua has suffered through respiratory infections, lab work, ultrasounds, a bronchoscopy and numerous other procedures including many hospitals stays at Children's Hospital at Dartmouth.

His CF requires Joshua to take 15-20 pills a day, inhaler and nebulizer treatments and sit through multiple sessions of chest physiotherapy every day
