Snowmobile Crashes On Lake In Brookline Seriously Injuring Man

Watch: DHART medical helicopter responds to Brookline, NH after a man was seriously injured in a snowmobile crash on Lake Potanipo

BROOKLINE, NH - Brookline Fire, Brookline Ambulance Service, and police were called to Lake Potanipo for a snowmobile accident on the lake Saturday night.

Brookline Fire Department personnel responded with a UTV, Sled, and other equipment. Brookline Ambulance Service on the scene requested a medical helicopter after a medical assessment of the patient.

DHART helicopter was dispatched and a landing zone was set up at Sports Stop parking lot on Route 13. Brookline Ambulance Service provided medical care to the patient and transported him to the landing zone. DHART landed at about 6:10 pm, and flight medics evaluated the patient in the ambulance.

The male victim reportedly involved in the snowmobile accident according to radio broadcasts was suffering a serious head injury and other injuries. It was also reported that the victim did not appear to be wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Brookline police assisted at the lake and landing zone and notified NH Fish and Game of the accident.

NH Fish and Game were responding to the scene as the helicopter left for UMASS Medical Center in Worcester, MA.
