Stop & Shop Picked Clean As Closure Looms

See what happened after the grocery store offered 50 percent off everything.

Stop & Shop in Milford looked like the grocery store of a ghost town as it prepares to close for good on Friday.

The grocery chain recently announced the closure of all six Stop & Shop stores in New Hampshire. A 50 percent off sale was held last week to clear out the remaining inventory, which turned into shopping chaos.

Only a few aisles were open with leftover products including cake mix, travel deodorant and unpopular snacks. Only a few shoppers could be seen as they leered over the remaining items like vultures.
