Wilton Crash Seriously Injures Bicyclist Requiring DHART
The bicyclist was flown by DHART from the Nashua Airport to Boston. Nashua police assisted Wilton officers with the investigation.
WILTON, NH — The Wilton Police Department responded to Route 101A (Gibbons Highway) near the intersection of Abbot Hill Acres Road for the report of a collision involving a motor vehicle and a bicyclist Tuesday.
Around 5:45 p.m., officers were sent to the crash. An adult male bicyclist sustained serious bodily injury and was then transported to a Boston area hospital for treatment. The bicyclist was transported by Wilton ambulance to meet DHART Medical helicopter at the Nashua Airport. They were also assisted at the airport by AMR of Nashua.
The adult male driver of the motor vehicle was uninjured from the collision.

Based upon the serious nature of the collision the Nashua Police Department’s Collision Reconstruction Unit was asked to assist the Wilton Police Department with the investigation.
Officers from the unit were on scene for several hours investigating the crash.

Based upon the initial investigation alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the collision.
The Nashua Police Department’s Collision Reconstruction Unit is asking anyone that may have witnessed the collision to contact Sergeant Matthew Allen at 603-594-3630 or Sergeant Caleb Gilbert at 603-589-1624.
