2 Injured When Motorcycle Hits Car On Amherst Street In Nashua

A motorcycle collided with the back of a car leaving a man and woman who were riding on the motorcycle injured.

NASHUA, NH — A motorcycle with two people on it collided with the back of a small sedan on Amherst Street in Nashua Tuesday.

Both vehicles were traveling west on Amherst Street when the accident occurred.

Nashua Fire Rescue, AMR ambulance and Nashua Police responded at 8:10 p.m. and on arrival reported two patients down in the roadway. One lane of the roadway while crews worked on the male and female from the motorcycle. A second AMR ambulance was requested to the scene.

A trauma team activation at the hospital was requested, and initially a medical helicopter was requested to land at the Nashua airport. The helicopter was canceled so that the patients could receive immediate medical care at the trauma center.

At this time, it is unknown if either patient will be moved via helicopter to a Boston hospital.

It does not appear the male operator of the sedan was injured and he remained at the scene. The car appears to have moved forward into a small landscaped area.

Nashua Police remain on scene blocking one lane of travel and preserving the scene for an accident reconstruction team to investigate.
