NASHUA, NH — A dangerous cold snap will drive Nashua into a deep freeze this weekend—with wind chill values plummeting to 40 degrees below zero.
It will be the coldest weekend so far this winter. A wind chill warning was issued for late Saturday through Sunday morning.
“Frostbite (can) occur in 10 minutes or less on exposed skin,” NWS said in a statement. “Never venture outside without wearing gloves, a hat, and several layers of clothing.”

Here’s the NWS wind chill warning:
- A WIND CHILL WARNING...REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT SATURDAY NIGHT TO 10 AM EST SUNDAY
- WIND CHILL...AS LOW AS 30 TO 40 BELOW ZERO.
- TIMING...LATE SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY MORNING.
- IMPACTS...FROSTBITE AND HYPOTHERMIA IF UNPROTECTED FROM THE COLD.
- WINDS...NORTHWEST 10 TO 15 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 25 MPH.
Things will warm up slightly starting Monday.
