Kids Meals Not So Nutritious: Analysts from the Yale Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity – a leading proponent of efforts to remove sugary drinks from schools and impose a sin tax on sodas, among other initiatives – analyzed the menu offerings from 18 fast-food chains. They considered all the possible combinations of main dishes, sides and drinks – for a total of 5,427 possible meals. The result? Only 33 are "healthy." You can read the 100+-page report, Fast Food FACTS  2013 (an acronym for Food Advertising to Children and Teens Score). The LA Times reports the top rated meal was Kraft mac n cheese, apples and water, served at Arby's.) If that's true, well, that's dismal.
5. Ladies, This Lay's for You: Although it feels a bit stereotypical, Lay’s will be launching its new chocolate-covered potato chips at Target stores. The chipmaker says the salty-sweet combo is tailor-made for young women, who apparently can’t get enough of the stuff.Â
