Boston Billiard Club & Casino In Nashua Nears $10M In Donations

NASHUA, NH — One of the state's largest charitable gaming casinos is closing in on a big goal — and is kicking off a push to reach the goal.

The Boston Billiard Club & Casino in Nashua announced earlier this year it had donated more than $9 million to Gate City area charities and now, they are closing in on $10 million.

The company, which revamped its restaurant and billiard hall into a charity gaming facility in 2016, has donated money to several charities since. In 2020, more than $2.3 million was donated to the United Way of Greater Nashua, the Boys & Girls Club, CASA of New Hampshire, Home Health & Hospice, and many others. About 35 percent of the gaming proceeds are donated to the organizations and they are unrestricted — meaning they can be used by recipients as they like, often addressing their most pressing needs and making an immediate impact, according to Kevin McMahon, the director of marketing for the club and casino.

As the company heads toward $10 million in donations, it is running a new contest: A Guess the Day contest where patrons can guess the day when the casino will meet that goal.

"The lucky winner will take home $2,500 in cash while the Rotary Club of Nashua will donate an additional $2,500 to a local non-profit that is selected by the winner — with restrictions," he said.
