City of Nashua and Garden Club Team on Composting Equipment Sale

The Nashua Garden Club and Division of Public Works and Solid Waste announce their 2018 spring sale of ecological compost and garden products. These sturdy items will assist homeowners and gardeners with composting and recycling rain water to benefit the greater Nashua ecosystem and increase garden production.

Product details include:

• Compost Bins – Constructed of 80% recycled plastic, these round 80 gallon capacity black bins stand 33 inches high and are 35 inches in diameter. Price: Normally retailing for up to $100, these bins are available during this sale for $60.00 including a comprehensive instruction booklet.
• Kitchen Waste Pail – This beige and white oval-shaped plastic container has a closable lid with handle and a 2 gallon capacity. Price: $12.00.
• “Systern Rain Barrel” – Consisting of 50% recycled plastic, this tan barrel has a holding capacity of 55 gallons and includes a mosquito mesh to keep out bugs and leaves. It can easily attach to an existing downspout system and overflow to another “Systern” or as ground run-off. Using a rain barrel can cut your household water use significantly and provides an excellent water source for lawns, plants and gardens!!! Price: Normally retailing for up to $120, this barrel is available during this sale, for $70.00.
• Compost Turners – Make composting easy by using one of these devices to turn the compost eliminating the traditionally strenuous job of removing and reloading compost by shovel or pitchfork. Simply plunge the turner into the compost pile. As it is withdrawn, the heavy-duty blades open to aerate and turn the compost. This sturdy, professional quality tool is 34 inches long. Price: $24.00.

• Posters and order forms are located throughout Nashua including City Clerk’s office at City Hall and the Solid Waste Department, Four Hills Landfill, 840 W. Hollis Street.

• No form? Write a short note including your NAME, ADDRESS, TELEPHONE NUMBER, ITEMS to be ordered (COMPOST BINS, SYSTERN BARRELS, PAILS OR TURNERS) and QUANTITY of each.

Include with your order payment by check for the total amount made out to the ‘Nashua Garden Club’. All orders are payable in advance. Mail the order form and check to:
