Danboise Murder-Suicide Investigation Concludes
Investigation concludes: Reginald Danboise killed his wife, Mary, and then killed himself.
Attorney General Joseph Foster and Nashua Police Chief John Seusing announced May 29 that the state has concluded its investigation into the murder-suicide of an older couple living on Middle Dunstable Road in Nashua last summer.
Reginald Danboise, 67, killed his wife, Mary, 64, and then killed himself, the report concluded.
Nashua police responded to the Danboise home at 17 Middle Dunstable Road on the morning of July 13, 2013. Some family members had alerted police that they could not locate either person.
Officers located Mary Danboise's body in the master bedroom, in bed, and covered with a blanket. Blood was found splattered on a nearby wall, and in other areas of the house, and evidence that someone had tried to clean up some of it, according to the Attorney General's report. She had been stabbed twice, and appeared to have suffered other physical blows.
Officers then located Reginald Danboise's body hanging from the ceiling in a woodworking shop in the back yard.Â
Investigators said Mr. Danboise stopped by his adult daughters' homes on July 12 and left a note and a check for each one. The report states that, "it appears that Mary Danboise was killed on Friday. Reginald Danboise appears to have made efforts to clean up the blood evidence in the house and potentially prepare to set fire to the property."
The investigation uncovered some marital discord and "money issues,"Â including Mary Danboise considering filing for divorce the previous year.
