Hazardous Weather Outlook: Up To 6 Inches Of Snow In Southern NH

The National Weather Service says some New Hampshire communities will receive up to 4 inches; AccuWeather.com says it could be 6 inches.

GRAY, ME — A winter weather advisory has been issued for most of southern New Hampshire with calls of up to 6 inches of snow in some areas.

The National Weather Service issued the advisory Monday with the advisory in place from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday. Snow is expected but accumulations are going to range from light snow in the northern and central parts of the state to 3 to 5 inches in the southwestern, southern, and Seacoast communities, according to the NWS.

"Plan on slippery road conditions due to snow-covered roads," the report stated. "The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes."

AccuWeather.com, however, had slightly higher estimates of snowfall: Nashua is expected to get up to 6 inches with Amherst, Bedford, Londonderry, Merrimack, Milford, Salem, and Windham also receiving up to 6 inches. Concord as well as Exeter, Hampton, North Hampton, and Portsmouth are expected to get 2 to 4 inches.
