Historic Aircraft Arrive At Nashua Boire Field As Part Of Tour

World War II planes flew in Monday and will be available for tours and flights until Sunday. The aircraft was state of the art in its era

NASHUA, NH - The five-day AirPower History Tour program begins Wednesday. The history tour's stop in Nashua, under the direction of tour leader Jacques Robitaille, has previously drawn large crowds of visitors made up of aviation enthusiasts, historians, military veterans, and folks of all ages who haven't had the opportunity to view the historic aircraft up close, inside and out.

“Fifi” a World War II-era bomber is one of two B-29 bombers that still fly and was the first to arrive on Monday. Fifi is a four-engined propeller-driven heavy bomber known as a B-29 Superfortress that the U.S. Air Force flew primarily during World War II and the Korean War.

The event, run by the Dallas-based organization Commemorative Air Force (CAF), "will bring the signs, sounds, and stories of World War II aviation" to the Nashua Airport, according to the group's announcement confirming the program's schedule, which appears below.
