Holiday Spirit Fills Nashua City Hall
Nashua School District students shared ornaments and sang carols in the rotunda Thursday.

NASHUA, NH – With smiles on their faces and the joy of the holidays in their hearts, students from across the Nashua School District decorated the Christmas tree in the City Hall rotunda Thursday, accompanied by a very special guest, Nashua Mayor Jim Donchess. The Fairgrounds Middle School Select Choir, led by Mary Pispitsos, filled the rotunda with renditions of "O' Come, All Ye Faithful," "Jingle Bells," "Silent Night" and other traditional songs, while decorators were hard at work on the tree.
"It’s fun having the students here during the holiday season," Donchess said. "They do a great job decorating and the choir is wonderful."
Ornaments were handmade by 21st Century students and themed for the 50th anniversary of Nashua Community College. A special tree-topper, complete with colorful lights, was designed by machine students at the college.
