Hollis Teen Killed in Everett Turnpike Crash

State police seek witnesses to an accident at the 1A ramp at about 10:30 p.m. Monday.

On Monday, December 9, 2013, at about 10:24 p.m. Trooper M.R.Dore of State Police Troop B located a single vehicle accident on the Exit 1 on ramp to the F.E. Everett Turnpike northbound in Nashua.

Cameron Ricard, 17, of Hollis, was found dead inside a 2009 Nissan Titan pickup truck. The truck was a total loss, police said.

Preliminary investigation of the crash determined the truck had been traveling northbound on the Exit 1A off ramp when Ricard lost control and the vehicle spun. The vehicle struck the right side guardrail and vaulted it. The truck rolled over at least once, onto the Exit 1 on ramp and came to rest upright, facing the wrong way on the ramp.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by personnel from NH Department of Transportation, Nashua Fire Rescue, Nashua Police and the New Hampshire Office of the Medical Examiner.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor. A press release by Nashua Fire Department cites black ice as a contributing factor to the crash. The investigation continues by Tpr. Dore and anyone with information is asked to contact him at State Police Troop B at 603-666-3333.
