Hudson Teens Injured After Truck Hit Tree, Driver Charged
Driver Derek Wisnosky and passenger, Derek Conroy, were both injured. Speed and alcohol were factors, police said.
A Hudson teen faces a felony driving while intoxicated charge after the truck he was driving crashed into a tree early Sunday morning on Thornton Road, injuring himself and a passenger.Â
Hudson Police said Derek Wisnosky, 18 of Melendy Road, was driving a Toyota pick-up truck near Memorial Drive at about 2 a.m. when he crashed into a tree. Police say speed and alcohol appear to be factors.
Police say Wisnosky was trapped inside the car. A passenger, Dylan Conroy, 18, of Lowell Road, Hudson, was able to get out of the vehicle before rescuers arrived. Both teens suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.Â
Hudson Fire Department reports 11 officers and firefighters from the Central and Burns Hill Stations manning Engine 2, Rescue 1, Ambulances 2 & 4, Car 1 and a Nashua ambulance worked at the scene. The department was called at 2:07 a.m., with the trapped occupant freed at 2:36 a.m.
Wisnosky was freed from the wreckage, and both Wisnosky and Conroy were taken for treatment to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center.
Wisnosky is charged with felony aggravated DWI and was released on $15,000 personal recognizance bail. Arraignment is set for Oct. 31 in the 9th District Circuit Court, Nashua.
The crash remains under investigation by Hudson Police Crash Investigation and Reconstruction Team.
