Joseph Thyne, 48: Had Zest for Life, Love of Ocean
Memorial donations can be made to Cal Ripken Baseball in Nashua.

Joseph J. "Joe" Thyne, 48, of Nashua, NH, formerly of Lowell, MA, died unexpectedly October 10, 2013, in Nashua. He was the loving husband of Karen A. (Chase) Thyne.
Born in Lowell, February 16, 1965, a son of John Jack Thyne and Maureen A. (Judge) (Thyne) Gilroy, both of Lowell. He received his early education in the Lowell school system and was a graduate of Lowell High School with the Class of 1983. He furthered his education at Northeastern University.Â
As a young boy, Joe loved going on family ski vacations. He also played little league baseball at Callery Park, and football with the Lowell Junior Football League.Â
Mr. Thyne became associated with Sun Microsystems for a time. For over 13 years, he worked as a Senior Buyer for Sonus Networks of Westford, MA, where coworkers described him as someone they could always count on to get the job done, no matter what it took.
Joe loved the ocean and took his family on many memorable beach vacations. By far, his greatest passion was spending time with his children. He loved to coach Braedyn''s T-Ball team, play basketball with Katie, watch the late night stars by the campfire with Jon, and play cribbage with Tim.Â
He also loved to golf, especially at Pine Valley in Pelham, where, just last year, he scored his first hole in one. Joe was most happy when spending time with family and friends, whether relaxing at the beach, playing card games, or fishing with his pride and joy, Braedyn.
Joe had a deep zest for life, a quick wit, and a great sense of fun and adventure. He will truly be missed.
Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by a daughter, Seaman Katherine M. Thyne of Lowell, who is currently stationed at Great Lakes, IL, and three sons, Timothy J. Thyne of Somerville and his girlfriend Heather Bradshaw, and Jonathan J. Thyne and Braedyn C. Thyne, both of Nashua. A sister, Cassandra Cassie Fenlon of Lowell, his niece and Goddaughter, Maeve Fenlon, and a dear family friend, Kerry Donohoe of Haverhill. Also, his paternal grandmother, Mary Thyne of Hudson, NH, and his former wife, Tracy (LeClair) Thyne of Merrimack, NH. He was the brother of the late Michael P. Thyne, stepson of the late Robert J. Gilroy, and grandson of the late Lorraine R. Judge and Maurice L. Thyne. He was a friend of Bill W.
Friends will be received at the MORSE-BAYLISS Funeral Home, 122 Princeton Blvd., Lowell, on Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM. Mr. Thyne''s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at St. Michael Church, Bridge St., Lowell, at 10:00 AM. (Please meet at church.)
