Learn About Cub Scouts Sept. 24
School Night for Scouting, sign-up nights, are held at nearly every local elementary school throughout New Hampshire next week.

As thousands of boys return to elementary school they also have a chance to become Cub Scouts.
Cub Scouting is a family-centered program based around the fun of camping, pinewood derbies, day camps, sports, and even academics. School Night for Scouting, sign-up nights, are held at nearly every local elementary school throughout New Hampshire from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 24, according to the Daniel Webster Council.
New Cub Scouts who join Scouting this fall will receive a rocket. New Scouts and their families are then invited to attend the New Hampshire BSA Jamboree at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) on Oct. 9, to Oct. 11, 2015. Cub Scouts will have the opportunity to launch their rocket during the NH Jamboree.

Designed for boys in grades 1 through 5, Cub Scouting combines outdoor activities, sports, academics in a fun and exciting program designed to help teach ideals such as honesty, good citizenship and respect.
Fliers with additional details will be distributed at schools before the scheduled recruitment nights. Interested boys and parents are encouraged to attend the meeting held at their school.
