Man Charged After Break-In at Nashua Car Wash

David Voight of Merrimack fought with police in Nashua. He also has outstanding burglary warrants in Merrimack.

On 18 January 2014, at approximately 2:23 a.m. members of the Nashua Police Department’s Uniform Division responded to an activated alarm at Simoniz Car Wash, 204 Daniel Webster Highway.

Upon their arrival they noticed that there was a broken window at the rear of the business. As officers continued to investigate they observed an individual trying to flee the area on foot. Officers gave chase and eventually caught up to David Voight, 23, of 25 Davis Road, Merrimack, in the rear of CVS, 214 Daniel Webster Highway.

Voight briefly fought with officers who subsequently were able to take him into custody. He was charged with burglary, class B felony; resisting arrest; and resisting detention, both Class A misdemeanors. Voight also had two outstanding warrants for burglary in Merrimack, NH.

Voight is being held on $50,000 cash bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in the 9th Circuit Court, Nashua Division on 21 January 2014.
