Marguerite’s Place In Nashua Receives $10K Donation From Amazon

Watch: The nonprofit, which provides women with children assistance so they can gain self-sufficiency, receives toys, appliances, and more.

NASHUA, NH — Amazon held a grand opening at its first New Hampshire Delivery Station in Nashua, offering tours and speaking about the economic impact of the facility. During the event, the company made a $10,000 donation to Marguerite’s Place, a nonprofit that assists women with children in the Gate City.

The organization is in its 25th year.

David Galante, the senior regional manager for Amazon in New England, said he was so impressed with everything Marguerite’s Place did for women and children.

"We're super excited to be a part of this community," he said. "I'm really thrilled that we have been welcomed with opened hands. And I couldn't think of a better way to give back to the community."

Outgoing executive director Mary Jordan, thanked the company for the contributions, and noted that five dryers, a few couches, toys, and other items were being donated.

"This is the best thing to happen to us in a very long time," she said. "Thank you for choosing us ... we are absolutely thrilled."
