Nashua DPW To Honor Veterans With Banner Program
New program will allow banners in honor of military members to be displayed on Broad Street Parkway from Memorial Day to Veterans Day 2020.
NASHUA, NH — The Nashua Department of Public Works is looking to honor veterans as part of the new Military Banner Tribute Program. The program will allow family members or sponsors to purchase a banner featuring the name, photo and military history of the person chosen to be honored.
The banners will be displayed along Broad Street Parkway from Memorial Day through Veterans Day. After that, they will be presented to the family or sponsor of the family as a keepsake.
Nashua DPW announced the program in conjunction with MilitaryTributeBanners.org on Veterans Day. The cost of each banner is $165 — which is only the cost of the banner, since Nashua DPW will be donating the time and labor to display the banners.
