Nashua Fireworks Postponed until July 5

Due to the forecast, the city is moving the fireworks to Saturday night at Holman Stadium.

Nashua's fireworks display is being postponed from July 4 to July 5 because of the weather forecast.

Nashua Parks & Recreation issued a press release just before noon Thursday with the latest update on the Independence Day activities:

"Please note that the Field Day Activities scheduled during the day of July 4th have also been cancelled. The 4th of July Revolution Run will happen rain or shine on the 4th. Only the fireworks display will be postponed until the 5th.

"Public safety concerns must take precedence. Event preparations require significant notice to postpone so the City must rely upon the best forecasting info available at this time. While we realize that the 4th of July is a date for great celebration, the City of Nashua feels this decision is in the best interest of public safety. We apologize for this disappointment and any inconvenience caused. We hope to see you on the 5th at Holman Stadium!"

Any questions on the postponement may be directed to Nashua Parks & Recreation
