Nashua Garage Fire Extinguished Quickly, Firefighter Injured
Nashua Fire arrived at a garage fire on Harris Road on Thursday about 3 minutes after being dispatched with a homeowner tackling it first.
NASHUA, NH — Nashua Fire Rescue was dispatched on Thursday to a report of a fire in the building on Harris Road.
The calling party reported a fire in an attached garage. Nashua fire Engine 6 from the Conant Road Fire Station arrived on the scene within 3 minutes, at 6:22 p.m., and found light smoke showing from the garage area of a single-family home.
Further investigation found that the homeowner, using a fire extinguisher and a garden hose, had extinguished a fire in the garage near a workbench. Nashua fire personnel confirmed that the fire was fully extinguished.

An investigation of the origin and cause of the fire was initiated and conclusions are still pending. One firefighter suffered a minor injury while on scene. No civilian casualties were reported.
The cause is under investigation by the City of Nashua Fire Marshal’s office.
