Nashua Woman Arrested On Wrong-Way Drunken Driving Charge

MANCHESTER, NH — A Nashua woman is facing a drunken driving charge after a rollover crash Monday on Interstate 293.

New Hampshire State Police troopers received a report of a possible wrong-way driver around 2 a.m. in Manchester. Within moments after that, state police dispatch was told about a rollover crash in the area of Exit 6.

According to Sgt. Vincent Grieco of Troop B, the first arriving trooper found a single vehicle that had left the exit and rolled over onto its roof.

"Reports were received that the vehicle had been traveling south in the northbound lanes of travel on Interstate 293," Grieco said. "Upon attempting to reverse direction on the Interstate, the vehicle exited the roadway, and was involved in a rollover motor vehicle accident."

No other vehicles were involved in the accident, he said, and no injuries were reported.

After investigating the incident, the driver, Breanna Trudeau, 25, of Nashua, was charged with driving while intoxicated. She was taken to the state police barracks for processing and is due in Manchester Circuit Court at a later date.
