Nashua's Best Businesses Of 2020: Readers Speak

Here are some of the businesses Patch readers in New Hampshire think are doing a good job during difficult times taking care of customers.

NASHUA, NH — Last month, Patch in Nashua asked readers to offer some thoughts about local businesses who had gone above and beyond for customers in the community.

The year 2020 has been a difficult one for everyone but businesses are doing everything they can to help customers and stay afloat during the pandemic.

About two dozen readers offered all kinds of accolades for businesses in the Gate City.

Jeannotte's Market on Courtland Street was praised by readers.

"It is the only store that I feel comfortable shopping at during all of this," Summer said. "I'll order online elsewhere, but only feel comfortable GOING INTO this store. They know you by name, even with a mask on :)"

Carolyn agreed: "They all are very helpful, always pleasant & everything is fresh. They also bring in things from other small local businesses to sell."

Lorraine called the Nashua Acupuncture Center on Main Street "wonderful" but when it closed temporarily, it was difficult.

"We go there for pain management, as it is better than the alternatives," she said. "They have never let me down ever. I did miss them when they were closed for sure. When I am in pain for my RA or Fibromyalgia, allergies, they are always there. They treat so many different people with pain, allergies, and also help people that have not been able to get pregnant, get pregnant. Acupuncture is one of the safest things out there for pain. I have even read articles where they are helping addicts. I feel Nashua Acupuncture Center needs all the credit they can get. They are tops in my book!"

Sandi said Jaja Belle Pastries of Main Street "is focused on quality product and friendly service. (Jesse) makes her food as if she's serving it to her family and friends. The best in Nashua!"

Pressed Cafe on Spit Brook Road received commendation from Bruce who said their "variety of unique fresh food" offered recipes that were "both creative and healthy at the same time. The variety gets updates so thre is something new to try. Service is fast yest you can customize what you want. For Covid precautions they had at their takeout location some in the parking lot helping safely move things along."

Denise said Precious Hair Salon of Gilman Street "changed all place and made it very safe for the pandemic. And employers are very happy and talented. Work with any hair you can imagined."

What A Bagel, Paul said, had great prices and service while RJ's Motorsports was highlighted as the best family owned motorsports business in the industry. Romie's Auto Repair on West Hollis Road was praised by Wayne: "A great family owned business that treats you as a friend. No over pricing everything on the up and up. A great place you won’t be afraid to patronize as gain and again." He also heralded Fortin Gage Florist on West Pearl Street.

"You won’t be disappointed with any of the gorgeous flower arrangement and gifts sold by Fortin Gage," he said. "The team of workers in the 'back room' are always ready to create a beautiful arrangement for you for any occasion. In addition if you are looking for a special gift for a special person you have to just walk in the store to see this place has everything you could want."

Soel Sistas LLC: Catering, Meal Prep, Delivery was praised by Laura, another reader.

"Soel sistas has feed the kids of Nashua ecspecially with the pandemic she went out of her way to make sure kids were feed," she said. "She has also donated food to local families in need. She really stepped up and took care of this community ecspecially now more then ever with pandemic and kids being out of school ... in summer she was making lunches doe kids in community couple times a week ... Nashua is very lucky to have her in this community."

Beltone Hearing Care on Broad Street, Banfield Pet Hospital, Wingate's Pharmacy on Main Street, WineNot Boutique on Main Street, Neverett's Sew & Vac on East Pearl Street, Liquid Therapy Brewery & Pub on Court Street, First Choice Tire and Auto Service on Bridge Street, World Academy on Spit Brook Road, Chewys Playland, Molly Nails, and The Skin & Body Spa on East Dunstable Road were also praised by readers. Fresh of Nashua, also on Main Street, a women's fashion shop, was also praised.

One Patch reader also praised the Averill House Vineyard in Brookline for having fab wines and a great team.
