“We know how challenging it can be to pursue your educational goals, while balancing your personal and professional responsibilities,” said Mackenzie Murphy, CTE and Continuing Education Coordinator at NCC. One of the open house coordinators, Murphy also heads Accelerated Lifelong Learning (ALL) which offers a structured schedule for students to balance a full-time class schedule with life, work, and other responsibilities. So far, ALL offers a psychology or business management degree option. Flexible schedules are also available for 50+ degree, certificate and workforce development pathways.

NCC has 100 percent remote options to get ahead from the convenience of home, including computer training options such as Microsoft Certification & Training and Front and Back End Coding Boot Camps. “NCC’s noncredit computer training opportunities are a great tool for anyone want to upskill or pivot in their career,” said Kim Eckenrode, computer training instructor at NCC. “Built with a busy lifestyle in mind, Microsoft Training is self-paced and 100 percent online. And the Coding Boot Camps are each 100 percent online with one weekly ‘live’ evening class online. This allows participants to fit 15 to 20 hours of classwork into their schedules.”

Spring semester begins January 19, 2021 for anyone seeking a degree or certificate program, and includes 8 and 16-week classes. Career training programs such as Coding Boot Camps, Microsoft certification, and the Microelectronics Boot Camp enroll new students throughout the year.

The average age of students at NCC is 25, and adult students are a major part of the campus community. “We cater our programs to meet the needs of our working adults by offering non-credit and for-credit options with courses that are offered during the day and evening, online and on the weekends. Whether you hope to change your career, expand your knowledge base and skills, or expand your career options; NCC has a program for you,” said Murphy.
