No Memorial Day Parade In Nashua Again

Nashua Mayor Jim Donchess and Barney Barbera, of the Mayor's Veterans Council canceled the parade in the interest of keeping residents safe.

NASHUA, NH — For the second year in a row, Nashua has canceled its Memorial Day parade festivities.

Nashua Mayor Jim Donchess and Barney Barbera, the chairman of the Mayor’s Veterans Council, canceled the parade "in the interest of keeping Nashua residents healthy and safe as the city continues to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic," according to Kerry Miller, the city's communications and special projects coordinator.

The Nashua American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars VFW Post 483, however, will participate in the wreath-laying services on May 31.
