Obituary: Terrence Scott, 23, of Nashua, Died in Skiing Accident
His family and friends said they were comforted by the fact they were with him when he died.

Terrence Scott, the 23-year-old Nashua man killed in a skiing accident in Vermont over the weekend, was remembered as a gifted athlete and gentle spirit.
Scott died Saturday after avoiding another skier at Killington Resort. He was wearing a helmet but it came off during the crash and he was pronounced dead at the mountain.
Scott was skiing with a group of family and friends. In his obituary, his family said they were comforted by the fact they were with him when he died.

“(We) will miss Terrence’s gentle spirit,” the obituary reads.
At the time of his death, Scott was working as a process engineer for the defense contractor BAE Systems. He graduated from Ridge High School in New Jersey in 2010 and Rutgers University in 2014.

Terrence Kirk Scott, 23 of Basking Ridge, NJ, and Nashua, NH passed away in a skiing accident on Saturday, March 21, 2015 in Killington, VT. His family is comforted, knowing that he was with his family and his friends at the time.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 3:00 – 7:00 pm at The Chapel of St. James Church, 184 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015, 11:00am, at St. James Catholic Church, Basking Ridge. Interment will follow at St. Bernards Cemetery, Bernardsville, NJ
Terrance was born in Summit, NJ to Roderick and Katherine (Kirk) Scott on February 2, 1992. He graduated from Ridge High School in 2010 and earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University in 2014. Terrence worked as a Process Engineer for BAE Systems in Nashua, NH since August, 2014. He enjoyed sports and was on the soccer, lacrosse and ski teams in high school, and the club lacrosse team at Rutgers. He was an avid fan of Rutgers football.
Terrence is survived by parents, Rod and Kathy Scott, of Basking Ridge, siblings Brian (Heather), Michael, Meghan and twin brother Jamie, as well as his maternal grandparents, Eugene and Joan Kirk, paternal grandmother, Jane Scott, and aunts, uncles and many cousins. Terrence was part of and surrounded by a large, loving family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation (CCFA.org) or the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance (TSAlliance.org).
