Parking Bans, School Delays Issued Ahead of Latest NH Storm

Southern and coastal New Hampshire expected to be hardest hit from overnight storm that could drop as many as eight inches in state.

Parking bans will go into effect Sunday night for several New Hampshire cities and towns, including Concord, Nashua and Portsmouth, ahead of a winter storm that is expected to drop up to eight inches of snow overnight in southern and coastal New Hampshire.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for areas of southern New Hampshire along the Massachusetts border and coastline, with a Winter Weather Advisory in effect for areas north and west of Concord. The National Weather Service Sunday afternoon forecast up to eight inches of snow in the Portsmouth area, seven inches in the Nashua area, and four inches in the Concord area.

Nashua Public Schools and Bishop Guertin High School in Nashua were among the schools that have called for a two-hour delay Monday morning as of Sunday at 8 p.m.

Portsmouth has issued a parking ban beginning at 10 p.m. Concord and Nashua have issued parking bans beginning at midnight and lasting until 7 a.m.

The snow is expected to start in southern New Hampshire around 8 p.m. with heaviest amounts overnight. Snow is expected to taper off by 8 a.m.
