RADIO STAR rocked Dolly Shaker’s Saturday Night!

This past Saturday night I had the pleasure of finally seeing the band, RADIO STAR. Let me start by saying although I was around in the eighties, I have always been a nineties girl at heart. I like my music hard, I like it heavy. Punk, rock, grunge, metal, death metal! So when I had the invite to see this band I was very open minded. lol. :)

With that being said.. Omg! This is the absolute best 80’s party band you can get!

I was blown away by the amount of talent that was on the stage.

Between the set list and the multiple costume changes, I was surprised at how much fun I really had! As a matter of fact, I found it refreshing and a welcome change to the usual gigs I attend! (No worries to my heavy bands, I love you still!)

The vocals of Dez Seekay are incredible! That girl can sing! In fact the whole band can sing! and they did! It was as though they found the top 20 Number One Hits of the eighties and mastered every single one of them!

Matt Henry on bass, he was everywhere! He was on stage, he was up the stairs, he was playing out in the parking lot!

Combine that with Mike Velcheck and Eric Hand performing such songs as “Hot, Hot, Hot” and “Rebel Yell”, it’s no wonder even the band couldn’t keep off the dance floor. Never have I seen a band keep the audience so engaged! Did I mention there was a Conga line?? Video did nothing to this Radio Star. ;)

This band definitely delivered!

Needless to say, RADIO STAR, won me over. I can guarantee I will definitely be attending an upcoming gig again soon and suggest you do too!
