Shop Offers Discount for Those Who Had Car Windows Shot Out

The auto shop owner says he would especially like to help car owners without insurance.

The owner of a shop that performs auto glass replacement is offering a discount to people who had their car windows damaged in the BB gun shooting spree last week.

Eric Silva, of Silva's Auto, located at 25 Harvey Road in Bedford, said he heard about the shooting and thought about ways to help the car owners, especially those without insurance.

Silva, in a message to Nashua Patch, said he would like to offer 25 percent off the entire glass replacement for windshield, door glass, back glass, and so forth.

"We do deal with insurance companies as well, however I realize that not everyone has glass coverage, and I would like to do what I can to help the people out that have to pay out of pocket for something that they had no control over," Silva wrote.

Silva's Auto may be reached at (603) 645-3052.

The Nashua Police Department arrested two Nashua men on criminal mischief charges in the case. The department reported that it had received – as of June 11 – 47 reports of vehicles damaged as a result of being struck by a BB gun pellet.
