State Police Make 30 DWI Arrests, 79 Criminal Arrests Over Holiday

Troopers made 79 other criminal arrests and issued 489 speeding tickets.

New Hampshire State Troopers arrested 30 people for drunken driving during heightened highway presence over the Fourth of July holiday.

Col. Robert Quinn, director of the State Police, reported one fatal accident but an otherwise successful safe traveling period from July 3 to July 6.

State Police said patrols resulted in:

  • 3,368 vehicle stops, including 489 citations for speeding and 1,875 warnings.
  • 433 citations for other motor vehicle violations, and 43 for driving after suspension.
  • 79 other criminal arrests.

Police said several erratic and impaired drivers were apprehended as a result of people calling in complaints.
