Thunderstorms Expected Tuesday Evening In NH

Breaking: As a cold front moves into the region, the National Weather Service is warning of heavy rainfall Tuesday.

GRAY, ME — The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for most of the state of New Hampshire, including Merrimack, Hillsborough, and Rockingham counties, as thunderstorms move into the state. At some time around 6 p.m., scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected as a cold front "sags south across the area," according to an alert issued this afternoon. The storms are expected to run through around 9 p.m. as the storms tracks southeast.

"Some of the thunderstorms could produce heavy rainfall," the alert noted.

The NWS alert was issued at just before 3 p.m. on Aug. 13.
