Video Highlights from Post-Inaugural Aldermen Meeting

Here are snippets from the hour-long post-inauguration meeting, during which President-Elect David Deane was challenged by Alderman Lori Wilshire, who urged him to reconsider committee assignments that would satisfy disgruntled board members.

After some discussion, Deane rolled up his sleeves and asked the board to work with him to make changes, following a spreadsheet of assignments suggested by Alderman Paul Chasse.

In the end, Deane was elected President. Welcome to 2014 in city government.
