What's Open, Closed In Nashua For New Year's

Nashua city offices and the transfer station are closed New Year's Day, which falls on a Tuesday.

NASHUA, NH — New Year's Day falls on a Tuesday this year and that means closures across town. Nashua city offices, the transfer station, schools, libraries, post offices and banks will be closed. State liquor stores are open normal hours New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

Restaurants, retail stores, grocery stores and movie theaters are open at the discretion of owners.

If you're looking for somewhere to celebrate the New Year, First Night Portsmouth is one of the state's most popular events. There will also be New Year's Eve fireworks at Hampton Beach.
