Winter Weather Advisory in Effect for Nashua

NASHUA, NH — A winter weather advisory was issued for Nashua through Monday afternoon.

Three to 5 inches of snow is forecast, according to the National Weather Service.

Driving will be treacherous through the evening commute.

Here's the NWS snow advisory for Nashua:

• A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON.
• ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 3 TO 5 INCHES.
• TIMING...INTO THE EARLY AFTERNOON.
• IMPACTS...HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS DEVELOPING DURING THE MORNING COMMUTE AS ROADS BECOME SLUSH COVERED AND SLIPPERY.
• WINDS...NORTHEAST AROUND 10 MPH.
• TEMPERATURES...IN THE MID 20S.

There were several crashes on the Everett Turnpike as the snow fell Monday morning. The speed limit on the highway was reduced to 45 mph.

Temperatures will plummet to the teens Monday night into Tuesday.
