Woman Accused of Stabbing Man with Scissors
Nashua Police say the victim suffered a scissor-stab wound to his forearm during an argument.
The Nashua Police Department arrested a Nashua woman on domestic violence charges of first-degree assault June 9 after she allegedly stabbed a man with scissors during an argument.
Police said Linda Heredia, 48, was charged with the Class A felony.
Officers responded to an apartment on Temple Street for a complaint of a domestic disturbance at around 4:30 a.m. and determined that a 50-year-old man known to Heredia had sustained a stab wound in his forearm from a pair of scissors during an argument, according to police.
The assault occurred during an argument and subsequent struggle with Heredia over a cell phone, police said.
The victim was treated at a local hospital with the non-life threatening injury and released.
Heredia was being held on $7,500 cash or surety bail pending arraignment at the 9th Circuit Court in Nashua on June 10.Â
A Class A Felony is punishable by seven to 15Â years in prison, exclusive of fines.
