Woman Transported To A Nashua Hospital With A Gunshot Wound

Nashua police, fire, and AMR responded to a woman with a gunshot wound outside a Congress Street apartment. Police are investigating.

NASHUA, NH — Nashua fire, police, and AMR ambulance were dispatched to an apartment complex on Congress Street on Saturday for a medical issue.

Nashua Fire and AMR arrived on the scene just before 4:30 p.m. and requested a trauma alert at Southern New Hampshire Medical for a shooting victim. The description provided to the hospital was a woman in her 20s who was shot, with an entrance and exit wound to the chest. Dispatch was advised the victim was breathing and alert.

Several Nashua police officers were outside of the multi-unit complex on Congress Street. Once the patient was loaded into the ambulance AMR left the scene with a medic and firefighter in the back of the ambulance, and Engine 6 following to the hospital.

An evidence marker cone can be seen on the sidewalk leading to 43 Congress St. with a Nashua police officer standing near it. Officers were speaking to three people outside of the building and none of them were detained or in custody.

After a short time, residents were entering and exiting the building, and police and the evidence marker remained in place outside the building.

It is unknown how the woman suffered the gunshot wound, and her condition is unknown at this time.
