2 From NH Make 2018 U.S. Winter Olympic Team

Meet Sean Doherty and Eric Loughran who will be in South Korea to compete on Feb. 9, 2018.

Two Granite Staters are heading to the winter Olympics next month to compete in South Korea, according to the U.S. Olympic team. Eric Loughran, 22, of Pelham, who skis with the Loon Mountain Freestyle team, will complete in the Freestyle Skiing category, specifically aerials. This is his first Olympic appearance.

Last year, Loughran placed 16th in aerials in a World Championship event.

Sean Doherty, 22, of Center Conway, will be competing in the Biathlon this year. Previously, he appeared at the 2014 Sochi Winter Games, placing 16th in the relay. According to his bio, he has completed globally for the past seven years, placing in the 30s and 40s in adult World Championships, and gold, silver, bronze, and lower places in youth and junior races.
