Eastern Mountain Sports To Provide Free Bike Inspections for 2017 Cycle the Seacoast Participants

Eastern Mountain Sports Returns to American Lung Association's 2017 Cycle the Seacoast as the Signature Bike Shop Sponsor

The American Lung Association of the Northeast today announced that Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS) will be returning for their second year as the signature bike sponsor for the 8th Annual Cycle the Seacoastevent. The one-day, multi-route cycling event will be held on Sunday, May 7 at Redhook Brewery in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Cyclists will choose from a 25, 50 or 100 mile route and participate in raising funds to support the American Lung Association’s mission: to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through research, education, and advocacy. Visit BikeTrekNewEngland.org to learn more.

EMS's sponsorship of the event signifies its desire to give back to the local New Hampshire community, as well as its extended community of loyal bicycle enthusiasts. In addition, EMS supports the Lung Association's mission as a way to support its family of employees, many of which have personal connection to lung disease. Select Eastern Mountain Sports locations will be providing free bike inspections for Cycle the Seacoast participants starting March 1st. Participating stores include Boston, MA and Portland, ME. Participating New Hampshire locations include Portsmouth, North Conway, Nashua, Concord, Peterborough and West Lebanon.

The 8th Annual Cycle the Seacoast aims to raise $100,000 for the American Lung Association. The event welcomes cyclists age 7 and older. A non-refundable registration fee of $35 is required with a fundraising minimum of $200 per person. To find out more or to register visit BikeTrekNewEngland.org.
