WINDHAM, NH — A Massachusetts woman was arrested Thursday after being accused of crashing into a New Hampshire State Police trooper cruiser on Interstate 93.

At just before 3:30 p.m., a 2012 Ford Focus being driven by Sharen Marcus, 72, of North Andover, was on the southbound side of the highway when the vehicle "veered to the right and crashed into" a parked state police cruiser that was in the breakdown lane, according to Staff Sgt. William Graham of Troop D.

"The cruiser had all of its emergency lights activated while on a construction detail in the area south of Exit 3 when it was struck," Graham said. "The state trooper and Marcus where both transported to area hospitals to be evaluated. Both vehicles were towed from the scene."
