NH Theatre Factory's INFO NIGHT for Summer Youth Theatre Intensive
Upcoming Info Night to introduce parents and children to NH Theatre Factory's new education program and Summer Youth Theatre Intensive

After the success of last summer’s theatre intensive, the NH Theatre Factory is excited to announce the development of the Stage Setters Youth Program, dedicated to education, performance, and the professional training of young aspiring theatre artists ages 8 to 18. The program is currently in rehearsals for its upcoming inaugural youth production, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, which will play the Derry Opera House on March 27 and 28. Next up will be the return of last year’s successful Summer Youth Theatre Intensive, now accepting student registration. An info night has been set in Manchester for Thursday, March 19, for parents and students to learn more about the upcoming summer program.
“Our Summer Theatre Intensive is taught by a mixture of both local & industry professionals from NYC, designed as a training program for beginner and experienced students interested in learning all aspects of theater,” explains Artistic Director Joel Mercier. “What makes our program unique is the people teaching it. We have many connections to professional union performers, directors & designers who love to come up to NH and share their talent and passion for theater.” Each student will work with over half-a-dozen teachers with extensive professional resumes that include regional theaters from all over the country, national tours, and even Broadway. The curriculum-based program is designed to focus on the education of numerous disciplines within the performing arts including acting, music, movement, & technical theater. “To us, theater education is first and foremost about learning a craft. The emphasis of our summer program is training, not performance. Our philosophy is that educational theatre is about growth and learning, not production elements. Craft comes first,” says Mercier.
The Stage Setters Info Night is scheduled for Thursday, March 19, from 6:30 to 7:30 PM at the Jefferson Mill Building located at 670 N Commercial Street in Manchester.
