Raycraft Named NHIAA Coach of the Year

Athletic director, football coach led Windham to an 11-0 season, state championship.

Windham High School’s athletic director and head football coach Bill Raycraft was named 2014 Coach of the Year by the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association (NHIAA).

This distinctive honor was bestowed upon Raycraft after leading the Jaguars to a perfect 11-0 season and winning the Division II State Championship.

Raycraft fielded WHS’s first varsity team only five years ago, three of those years the Jaguars competed in the playoffs. In 2011 the team made it to the state championship and in 2013 they played for the conference championship before taking the state title this year.

Raycraft has used his extensive experience as an Athletic Director to assemble a dedicated coaching staff, and most have been with him from the program’s inception. The team culture spends a great deal of energy not only teaching the game of football, but instilling character in all of the players.

The Jaguars will also have at least three graduates this year that will continue their football careers in college which is a further reflection of the quality program being built by Coach Raycraft.
