Windham Basketball Club Hosts Talk with Bonner July 28

The 12-year NBA veteran who plays for the San Antonio Spurs and grew up in New Hampshire will talk about the importance of hard work.

WINDHAM, NH — The Windham Basketball Club is hosting a talk with Matt Bonner of the San Antonio Spurs, a 12-year NBA veteran, on Thursday, July 28, 2016.

The town hall style meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at Windham High School.

According to organizers, Bonner will speak about the importance of hard work, both in the classroom and out, and be available to answer questions. All are welcome to attend.

Bonner was born and raised in Concord, and is a two-time NBA champion with the Spurs. His father was a mailman and his mother a school teacher. After high school, he attended the University of Florida, where he became a star athlete in the Florida Gators organization and graduated with a 3.96 GPA. Bonner was also named Verizon Academic All-American of the Year in 2002 and 2003. Matt also has a younger sister and brother.
