Windham Beach Open, Summer Concerts Begin
With summer approaching, the Windham Town Beach has recently opened, and the summer concert series at Griffin Park begin this Saturday.
WINDHAM, NH — The summer season is getting ready to be in full swing in Windham. The Town Beach has recently opened to residents. And for those who enjoy music, the town's summer concert series begins this Saturday.
The Town Beach opened for the season on Friday, and lifeguards are on duty. The beach is open to Windham residents only. Residents may get their 2019 beach pass from a lifeguard. Proof of residency and an ID are required. They may also fill out the paperwork online and then pick up their beach passes at the beach. The weekly Concerts In The Park kick off this Saturday at Griffin Park with Rico Barr featuring JJR Horns at 6 p.m. Food trucks will be on site. The park is located at 101 Range Road.

The next concert as part of the series will take place Tuesday, July 16, featuring the local band PopRocks. Rain date is July 17. This show is co-sponsored by Debbie Mackenzie Realty.
On Wednesday, June 26, the annual fireworks show and band performance is also taking place at Windham High School. Souled Out Show Band will perform from 7:15 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., after which the fireworks will begin. The parking lot of the high school will open at 5:30 p.m. with food vendors.

The annual Town Day at Griffin Park is also scheduled to take place on Monday, July 1 at 4 p.m. And on Thursday, July 25, there will be a concert at Searless School and Chapel, featuring the Memory Laners, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
