Windham School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Windham is August 30. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Windham School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 8/28 - 8/29: Teacher Workshop Days
• 8/30: First day of School

September

• 9/4: No School (Labor Day)

October

• 10/6: No School for Students (Teacher Workshop Day)
• 10/9: No School (Columbus Day)

November

• 11/8: End of First Quarter
• 11/9: Early Release Day
• 11/10: No School (Veteran’s Day)
• 11/22 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)
• 11/30: End of First Trimester

December

• 12/5: Early Release Day
• 12/25 - 1/2: No School (Winter Recess)

January

• 1/1 - 1/2: No School (Winter Recess)
• 1/15: No School (Martin Luther King/Civil Rights Day)
• 1/23: End of Second Quarter
• 1/30: Early Release Day

February

• 2/26 - 3/2: No School (February Recess)

March

• 3/1 - 3/2: No School (February Recess)
• 3/13: No School for Students (Teacher Workshop Day)
• 3/20: End of Second Trimester

April
