FORD Group Takes Best Of Show Honors At NJ Ad Club Awards

The Jersey Awards showcase the state's best advertising and marketing efforts and received more than 400 entries in 127 categories.

The New Jersey Advertising Club (NJ Ad Club) recently held its 52nd annual awards program celebrating the state’s best creative efforts in broadcast, digital, print, out of home, and product packaging. The Jersey Awards – which showcases the best advertising and marketing efforts in the state – attracted over 400 entries in 127 categories from over 60 agencies, companies, and non-profits across the state.

While the program was held virtually for the first time due to Covid-19, viewers came out in droves to watch the first ever Virtual Jersey Awards. With a lot of heart and soul and a huge amount of gratitude to both Sound Imagination and New Media Connection, the NJ Ad Club brought the show to you!

There were no high fives or clinking of glasses to be heard and no hugs to be seen - yet that didn’t stop everyone from recognizing great talent and celebrating creative excellence produced in the state of New Jersey!

Herb Barry, Interstate Outdoor and Lynne Darlington, Voiceover and On Camera Actor were co-stars of the event and with a cameo appearance by Terrie Carr, Beasley Media Group; they presented 211 trophies and 67 Certificates of Excellence to corporations, agencies, designers and non-profit associations. It was a very successful evening.

Anthony Oade, Giovatto Advertising, provided the graphics, web pages, email blasts and billboard designs. A great job, considering the graphics had be redone last minute as the Club pivoted to a virtual awards ceremony.

Judging was done virtually as well. The judges included 17 advertising, marketing, graphic designers and public relations professionals from Westchester County and New York City. Best of Category, First Place, Second Place, Certificates of Excellence and Best of Show were chosen. A new award, The Outfront Edge, was presented by Jon Antal, Outfront/ Media, to Revolution Digital “For Most Cutting Edge Creativity”. Congratulations!

FORT Group of Ridgefield Park took Best of Show honors as well as Best of Collateral for Marvin Brand Activation Kit They also won, 1 first-place trophy. For Best of Show, they took home a special one-of-a- kind crystal trophy.

Best of Newspaper went to Gruskin Group for Jazz at the Lake (Lake George Arts Project). Gruskin was also the largest winner of the night with 29 awards, including16 first-place and 7 second-place trophies.

Best of Digital Media was given to COYNE PR for Entenmann’s Little Bites. They won a total of 12 awards, including 7 first-place and 4 second-place trophies.

Revolution Digital won Best of TV, for “Say No More” (Senokot Laxatives) and Best of Social Media, for A Party In Every Bag (Original Gummi Fun Mix). They won a total of 11 awards, including 8 first-place and 1 second- place trophies.

Best of Magazine was awarded to Turchette for Relationships: Commitment, Lacking Support and Feeling Rushed, (Fujitsu General America). They won a total of 11 awards, which included 6 first-place and 3 second-place-place trophies.

Best of Out-of-Home went to Outfront Media for “Adopt Today (11th Hour Rescue). They won 8 other awards, including 3 first-place and 3 second-place awards.

Best of Public Relations was given to CMA for NJSANA Public Affairs. The agency won a total 7 awards, including 3 first-place and 3 second-place trophies.

Best in Radio went to Furman Roth for Customer Testimonial Campaign (B&H Photo). They won a first place trophy, as well.

Best in Video was awarded to Concepts TV for Trapped in a Bottle, Anti-Opioid Awareness (Drugfreenj.org). They also took home one first-place trophy.

High award totals were amassed by Oxford Communications with 16 awards, including 6 first-place trophies and 7 second-place trophies; DSM with 15 awards, including 5 first-place and 7 second-place trophies; PureRed with 11 awards, including 4 first-place and 4 second-place trophies.

Nine awards went to Kraus Marketing (5-first & 2-second).

Eight awards went to 4 companies: Newark Trade Digital Graphics (2-first & 4-second); Partnership for a Drug Free NJ (3-first & 3-second); Smith Gifford (3-first & 2-second) and Sound Imagination (2-first & 3-second).

Seven Awards went to: Bonavita Design LLC (2-first & 3-second) and The S3 Agency (5-first).
Six Awards went home with CI-Group (4-first & 1-second).

Five Awards were taken home with Spitball Advertising (2-first & 1- second).

Four Awards went to six firms: Delia Associates (1-first & 1- second); 02 Advertising (1-first & 3-second); Rizco (2-first & 1-second); SCG Advertising & Public Relations (2-first & 1-second); 3EPR (2-first & 1-second).

Three Awards were granted to: Beasley Media Group / WDHA-WMTR Radio (2-first & 1-second); Clarke (3 Awards of Excellence); Giovatto Advertising (I-first); Grey Sky Films (3 Awards of Excellence); NJ Advance Media (3-second); Positive Solutions, LLC (2-second); Refresh Advertising (1-first & 2-second); SGW Integrated Marketing (2-second); William Paterson University (1-first & 1-second); WJRZ-FM Beasley Media Group (2-second).

Two Awards were bestowed to: Amboy Bank In-House (2 Awards of Excellence); Costello Creative Group (1-first & 1-second); KAL Design Co. (2 Awards of Excellence); Matheny School and Hospital, Inc. (1-first & 1-second); Prudential (2-second); Prudential/AICPA (1-first); Wagner Photo-Grafx (1-first & 1-second).

One First Place Award went to: Brogan Tennyson Group, Inc., Design Maters LLC, Estro Digital Communications, fatrabbitCreative, Imbue Creative, Rapunzel Creative Marketing, and Svenja Lyon.

One Second Place Award went to: IGM Creative.

Two Awards of Excellence went to R&J Strategic Communications

One Award of Excellence went to: Hudson Integrated, Multimedia Solutions, NJ Transit, Paganucci Design, and Princeton Partners.
